【”ToBi” remake series】

“Tobi” is a Japanese name for a bird of prey, specifically a member of the hawk family. And this word can also refer to a construction worker specializing in high-altitude work. I respect those craftsmen who, though in a different field, create living spaces for people by hand.

The “ToBi” remake series is inspired by the traditional tabi footwear worn by Tobi. This is my first leather boots TABI remake.

These shoes are the innovative product born from a complete overhaul of traditional shoemaking methods, with each step carefully refined through trial and error. The fusion of boot design and VIBRAM sneaker soles has resulted in a one-of-a-kind aesthetic and unparalleled comfort.

鷹科の鳥であるトビ（鳶）。建築現場で高所作業を専門とする職人のことも意味し、人々が生活する空間を手作業で作り出す彼らを、フィールドは違えど職人として尊敬しています。

【ToBi】リメイクシリーズのデザインイメージはトビが履いている地下足袋。s.laboratory.projectとして初めて制作したレザーブーツの足袋リメイク。

靴の製法を根本的に見直し、各工程を試行錯誤して実現させた新しいプロダクト。ブーツとVIBRAMスニーカーソールのハイブリッドな組み合わせにより、唯一無二のビジュアルと履き心地に生まれ変わりました。
